Beach stone, gray-green lichen, pine cones, gray beach rocks, shells, wild turkey feathers

July 2020

I refer to this as an Eastham mandala although it was made in Easthampton from materials collected and brought home from Eastham. It is similar to one of the mandalas I made in Eastham with the addition of eight Wild Turkey feathers. The feathers were collected in an area that is used to split and store firewood. For the first few days Mark and I saw evidence of the turkeys and could hear them gobbling but did not see them until the end of the week. It turns out that there were seven of them and I was able to capture their picture by being very quiet and tip toeing through the woods.
